Is the consultation really free?
Yes. The visit, the measuring and the written proposal are complimentary. You're not billed for our time, and nothing is owed if you decide not to order.
Do I have to buy anything?
No. Plenty of consultations end with a proposal the customer thinks about for a few weeks, and some end with us saying the existing treatments are fine. It's a risk-free visit by design.
How long does a window treatment consultation take?
Most take about an hour for a whole house, less if you only have a room or two. The measuring is quick. The part that takes time is walking the rooms and working out what each window actually needs.
What if I only need one window done?
That's fine, and it's a common way people start with us. One window is a small job for us, and an easy way for you to see how we work before doing the rest of the house.
Do you come to me, or do I come to the showroom?
Either. Most people prefer we come to them, because fabric has to be judged in the room's own light and the windows have to be measured anyway. You're very welcome at the Palisades Park showroom instead if that's easier — we're on Broad Avenue, minutes from Fort Lee.
How long until the treatments are installed?
Usually about two weeks from the day you approve the order to the day we install. Specialty shapes and some imported fabrics run longer, and we tell you the timeline before you order. If something's already broken, our repair service is a separate and faster route.
